Message from the president

Hello there!  My name is Donna J Jodhan, and I am the president of Sterling Creations.  Sterling Creations is delighted to bring you their latest newsletter and we invite you to read more about some of the exciting and interesting things that we have been doing for the past few months.  The last quarter has been especially rewarding for us as we have managed to expand our business as well as our partnerships.  I personally have embarked on some very exciting new ventures and you can read more about it in our third quarter news.

The fall promises to be very interesting for our company and we are looking forward to it with great anticipation.  We are expecting great things for all of our teams as they strive to continue their work in their respective disciplines.  We hope that you enjoy this fall season as fall can be one of the most enjoyable times of the year.

On behalf of the Sterling Creations team I thank you for your continuing support and feedback because with it we can only get better and without it our hopes will only dwindle.

I would like to wish our Canadian customers a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Best wishes for an enjoyable fall.

Third quarter news

The third quarter has been a very busy one for both company and president.  During this quarter, we have managed to continue and expand our business to Britain and Australia and we have managed to snag a few new very exciting proj ects.  Our writing team continues to stay busy working with Children’s authors.  Our research team continues to field and fill requests from both individuals and small businesses seeking their services, and our translation team continues to forge ahead with clients seeking services in Chinese as well as in French and Spanish.

In July, we formed an alliance with Vashaun Jones of www.numpadplus.com and since then, our president Donna J Jodhan has been writing weekly blogs for www.numpadplus.com.  Donna is being ably supported by our research and writing teams and you can view her blogs under the category access and accessibility at www.numpadplus.com/blogs.  Vashaun Jones is a very dynamic and savvy businessman in the accessibility arena and is going places in a big way.  He has recently joined forces with the National Federation for the Blind and one of his objectives is to expand into Canada and beyond.  You can read more about Vashaun Jones in the our partners section.

In early September, Sterling Creations landed a real gem when it hooked up with Jeof Collis at www.accessibilitynews.com.  Geof Collis is a very well known accessibility expert in the field and is not afraid to say what is on his mind.  Our president Donna J Jodhan has embarked on a very rewarding venture to write biweekly blogs for Geof Collis’s website and you can view her blogs at www.accessibilitynews.ca/acnews/editorials/donna.php.  Geof’s online magazine has a present readership of almost 1200 subscribers.  Geof is going places and you can read more about him in the our partners section.

Our president is really not satisfied to stay still and in addition to the two above mentioned items, she has managed to partner with researchers at the University of Toronto to engage in a very exciting venture that has great potential.

Our president Donna J Jodhan is working with researchers at the University of Toronto on a project that explores how community engagement can be used to help screen reader users in evaluating the credibility of information they seek online as part of everyday life.  This project has great potential and we are hoping that in our next issue, we will have something very exciting to report to you.

Boston!  Boston here we come!

Again, it is our president who is grabbing center stage!  Donna is on her way to Boston and come January 2009 she will be working at the Perkins school for the Blind for three months.  Thanks to the president of Perkins, Steven M. Rothstein, Donna is going to be working with Gayle Yarnall, Director, Adaptive Technology,

A Division of Perkins Products.  These are going to be very exciting times for all of us and despite Donna’s stay in Boston, she will be close enough to keep an eye on the company to ensure that everything continues to run smoothly.

Golden Fleece of Australia, a company that specializes in the writing of Greek Mythology for children, has just appointed Sterling Creations as its official editors.  This is a great coup for us as for the past two and a half years, our company has been working closely with Golden Fleece to proofread and edit their children’s books.  Golden Fleece is actively pursuing opportunities in both Asia and the Middle East and has several contracts on its table to market and sell their books in these parts of the world.  Congratulations are in order for our writing team.

More congratulations are in order for our writing and research teams as they now team up with Donna to produce a weekly blog called important answers to consumers questions at www.untappedwealth.com/businessdesk.html.  This is a very insightful and interesting weekly feature where Donna and our teams combine to answer questions from emailers to www.untappedwealth.com.  This website is presently being redesigned to focus on the needs and interests of aging baby boomers, retirees, and seniors.  Work on this website should be completed by the end of October and we hope you take a moment to check out Donna’s weekly feature.

In July, the Sterling Creations translation team embarked on a very aggressive marketing campaign to reach out to potential customers in Toronto and thanks to the folks at Avalanche Networks, the campaign has surpassed all expectations.  Stay tuned for our winter issue where we will have much more to tell you.
