Celebrity linguists – setting the example | Web Translations

Top of the day to you out there!  I’m Donna J. Jodhan and today I would like to zoom in on how celebrities are doing when it comes to foreign languages.

Celebrity linguists – setting the example | Web Translations

Many of us often miss out on using something very simple and basic and it is this; learning of a second language in order to become more marketable, more flexible, and better able to move ahead of our competition.  These days, celebrities are using their knowledge of second and even third languages to help them stand out among their fellow celebrities so why can’t others use this strategy to their advantage?

It really is not too difficult to learn a second language.  All you need to do to get started is to say to yourself:  “A second language is nothing more than being able to communicate with others who do not speak my language” and after that it is easy sailing.  Think of it like this.  You speak English as your first language and you are just dying to meet new people from South America because you want to make new friends from another country.  However, in order to communicate with them you need to learn how to speak their language.  So, what do you do?  Easy and simple!  You learn to speak Spanish.    As global trade and commerce continue to expand, the need to speak and communicate in a second language is only going to become more acute and advantageous.  So why not start now?

I am going to leave you with an excellent reference to check out.  See what some of our celebrities are doing these days.  Please see below.

As any Careers Advisor can tell you, the ability to speak another language is not only useful, it might be essential for a particular career path, or just might be the string to a candidate’s bow that makes them stand out from other … Danish actor Viggo Mortensen was raised in Argentina, so speaks Spanish fluently, as well as French, English, and of course Danish. Maybe a bit of Elvish too, you would hope! Lucy Liu speaks Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Norwegian. …
