These work groups focused on groups of regulations that various members of the Canadian transportation industry were requesting to have deadlines for completion extended somewhat indefinitely.

Their main reasons were that due to the Covid they did not have the financial or human resources to complete them in the previously committed-to deadlines.

Members of the advisory group on accessibility issues expressed deep concerns over this because these were commitments that had been on the table for several years now.

In addition, the advisory group also expressed a concern that the transportation industry needed to include and engage Canadians with disabilities more robustly when designing and testing hardware and software.
