Dear world!
You are just so busy expanding, innovating, creating, and developing! All well and good but I personally want to see if you are listening!
Chances are that you may be half listening to those of us who may be writing similar letters to you but if I do not share my thoughts then you will have the perfect excuse to tell me that I did not share with you. So here goes!
It is a two way street! If we take care of you and your needs then you in turn will help us to prolong our lives and help to make a better future for our kids! Alas however! We are presently not doing a very good job with this are we? We continue to ignore the growing tell tale signs of climate change and this is why ice caps are melting at alarming rates. More floods, earth quakes, hurricanes and storms, and other natural disasters are on the rise. We are not doing a very good job at keeping things clean for you as we continue to pollute the air, the lands and the seas.
It is one thing to blame it all on natural disasters but what about the man made disasters that we continue to be guilty of? Ah yes! Those crazy wars that are directly affecting the supply of food to those poor starving folks in those under developed countries? How can we stop the senseless war in the Ukraine? And put some logic, humanity, and sense into those irrational Russians?
Technology has grown by leaps and bounds especially so over the last two decades but with it has come several so-called negative results. Kids are engaging in much less face to face socializing. Cyber bullying has increased 10 fold! The arrival of fake news and misinformation continues to increase mountainous concerns and ramifications The push to more online systems has only made it even more difficult for seniors, the technically disabled, and persons with disabilities to keep up and more and more they are being left out!
I could go on and on but I’ll stop here for now as I think that you are getting the picture!
Well World! This is it from me! I can only do the best that I can to do my part to make it better than possible for those around me! I’ll continue to advocate for a better future for our kids and to hope that Mankind wakes up and smells the roses before it is too late!
One final thing Dear world! Please work with us to stop the unnecessary blood letting! The senseless killings of our kids, the gun violence, and o yes! Those wasteful wars!
Help us to bring some semblance of sanity to your people!
