Ask an Author – January 2019 – Going Skiing to Help Refresh

A skier slaloms down a mountain covered in fresh snow under a bright winter sun.Trust me when I tell you that there is nothing better than being able to find a way to refresh, recharge, and rejuvenate one’s mind and imagination. The mind and the imagination are the gateways to the creation of ideas and if these gateways are somehow clogged and cluttered; then guess what? Writer’s block will quickly step in.

Refreshing, recharging, and rejuvenating are some of the main ingredients to a healthy mind and imagination but the ingredients are not enough to accomplish success. You need something to mix and combine these ingredients and going skiing is what you need in order to obtain success.

Just think of this: Cool fresh air filling your lungs as you and your skis crunch along on pure new snow! The air blows briskly through your hair, across your cheeks and through your clothing! Your hands are securely nestled in your mitts and your feet are nice and toasty in your boots.

You are free to ski as quickly as you want or to simply go as slowly as you like. It is just you out there on the snow; blue skies above, sun shining, and everything else is simply just fine. Nothing really matters for you today! You just want to communicate with nature and then? The thoughts and ideas start to creep into your mind and imagination!

Just go out there now and try this strategy!
