This is usually the time of year when I choose to simply kick back and be a kid at heart for just one moment in time.
Tis the time to be jolly! To forget one’s troubles but for a few precious moments and to simply allow my mind to wander and roam.
Ah yes! To simply relax and be a kid at heart! I would still dream of Santa bringing me lots of goodies on his sleigh; cookies, candy, biscuits, chocolates, and so much more!
I dream of him bringing me toys too! Dolls and doll houses, tea sets, electronic games, puzzles, and those favourite gadgets.
O, and let us not forget those snazzy clothes; brightly coloured sweaters, gloves, boots, and lots of fancy tops and skirts and trousers to match.
I’ll tell Santa that my favourite colours are yellow, purple, and orange.
I dream of lots of laughter, joy, and fun! I dream of going carolling with my cousins to cheer up folks in homes for seniors! I dream of days gone by when I used to spend precious times with my beloved granny in the kitchen baking fruit cakes and pies, and making all kinds of Christmas delicacies!
Most of all, I dream of going to Church with my family and standing in front of the Manger saying hello to baby Jesus and Mary and Joseph! And o yes! The joy of giving to others who are less fortunate!
For me, being a kid at heart at this time of year is simply marvellous!
Just my two cents for today!
An adult continuing the traditions of childhood!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Happy holidays! ! Happy Hanukkah!
Joyeux Noèl!
Feliz Navidad!
Bueno Tale!
