The growing gap
By Donna J. Jodhan

In my respectful opinion, there are many growing gaps for us to consider.
The ever growing gap between the rich and the poor.
The ever growing gap between the haves and have nots.
The growing gap between the technically abled and the technically disabled.
I can go on but for now I’d like to concentrate on the third mentioned.

I truly believe that due to the fast moving pace of the evolution of technology, this gap is only going to get more acute unless we take steps to stop it.
What makes one technically disabled stems from a few important variables.
First, so many are unable to afford to keep buying updated versions of technology.
Second, the training and support for persons wishing to keep up are simply not available.
Third, updated technology is simply unavailable to those seeking it because of such barriers as financial resources, living in areas where the technology is not available
Products, services, and websites that are not accessible and navigable.

This is just a simplified version of the overall picture but I’d be interested to hear other thoughts.

Just my thoughts for today
