The Popular Companions – How the World Has Changed

Hey, there! Greetings from the Sterling Creations team. I’m Christian Robicheau, welcoming you to 2025, and I hope that everyone enjoyed their time off. I certainly did, and now it’s back to work! For today, our president’s weekly editorial focuses on a bit of a changing world. Donna would love to get your feedback on her editorial; write to her at info@sterlingcreations.ca. Enjoy your weekend!

It looks as if technology such as Zoom, Teams, and other similar types of technology seem to have become our new companions. Thanks to Covid, the virtual world has taken on a new shape and now so many of us are using the above to reach out and communicate.

Gone are the days when face-to-face contact was the main means to reach out and communicate. In now are these virtual companions, as I call them. Nothing wrong with this, but I still believe that as long as we can manage it, we should still leave room for the face-to-face way of engaging and communicating.

Call me old-school, but I truly believe that we need to bring back socialising as it used to be. Where we can see each other, have some sort of physical contact with each other, and so on.

Just my two cents for today.
