Practical and natural!
Welcome to my Donna’s did you know diary for this month and pleased to share the following with you.
Here’s what I learned for this month.
1) A good way to keep your cut vegies such as carrots and celery fresh?
Keep them in a bowl of water.
2) Some causes for puffy eyes and bags under your eyes?
Lack of sleep, fatigue, the aging process,
Allergies, dehydration, and believe it or not?
Genetics.
3) About your blood level of alcohol?
Well, drinking coffee to reduce the level of alcohol in your blood is just a myth.
Also, sleeping it off is yet another myth.
It all has to do with time.
4) For those interested in the migration pattern of Monarch butterflies and a bit more?
They migrate South to Mexico in the Winter and back North to Canada in the summer.
They feast on flowers in your garden and wherever they can find them.
5) Some info about those beloved whales!
They are greatly affected by noise emitted by passing ships
And often get tangled in the ropes and cords of said ships.
6) Something interesting about ADHD
It is much easier to spot in boys than it is in girls.
Why is it so?
Because ADHD in girls shows itself as girls not being able to focus and often teachers and parents think that girls are just day dreaming.
7) Here is something interesting about fire extinguishers.
The foam of a fire extinguisher is the equivalent of 10 buckets of water.
8) Pills versus injections?
Injections act more quickly.
Pills are slower.
Injections enter one’s blood stream more quickly.
9) Ever had a moment when your cakes stick at the bottom?
Well, here is what a friend told me recently.
It is all because you did not have enough grease to code your pan.
She suggested using non stick cooking spray.
Don’t use oil.
She suggested using butter instead.
Or you can use parchment paper.
Spread this at the bottom of your baking pan then grease it with butter.
10) A good technique for spreading butter at the bottom of your baking pan?
Use a piece of wax paper.
Spread butter on the wax paper then apply this to the bottom of your baking pan.
Never use a paper towel
As the paper towel absorbs the butter.
