O Canada! What a beautiful country you are! True North, strong and free! A country of milk and honey and probably one of the best in the world in which to live!
Today you turn 150 and we are all so very proud of you! You have grown so much over the years and now you have become a country that so many yearn to visit and stay at least for a while!
You are probably one of the most diverse countries in the world; culturally, socially, and economically, and probably the largest melting pot that anyone could find! You are one of the largest salad bowls of cultures and all of this makes you what you are and who you are!
I am so very lucky to be a Canadian! So very fortunate to call you my home and so appreciative and grateful that I live in a country where my life is mine to do with as I please! You are a land of opportunity and possibility and one where the sky is the limit!
You give us four distinct seasons; each filled with so many things to do! From ice skating on the Rideau Canal in the winter, to biking in the spring, to sailing in the summer and trail walking in the fall.
From hockey to baseball, football to basketball, and from symphony to live entertainment! O Canada! I thank you for all of this plus so much more!
We have so much to be proud of and I for one am truly grateful and appreciative! We have made our mark on so many different stages around the world and we must not forget this!
Happy birthday Canada! Happy 150! It’s time to celebrate! It’s time to blow out the candles on your cake! Time to stand up and belt out our National Anthem in joyous song! Time for us to thank you just one more time and to say out loud “Thank God I am Canadian!”
