Section: Mystery of the month:

This month, I'd like to whet your appetite with a brief description of one of my episodes of my audio mysteries that I have chosen for you. It is yet to be released.
This one is called "The Real Bank Robber" and here is a brief description.

They were three very close friends. Had known each other since kindergarten and had practically grown up together.
They hung out with each other and were very good students.
They were quiet boys and each with their own ambition; a very secret one that they each had in common. They all went to the same university and did extremely well in their chosen field.
It was just before graduation and something happened among these three amigos.
One night over a few beers, they made a secret pact and agreed to check in again in a year's time to the date.
That infamous pact went off the tracks and ended up in murder!
The 3 amigos can only speculate and hope that it was not any of them who was involved.
They meet at the appointed date and time shortly after the crime has been committed.
None of them is prepared for the final outcome!
Who could have done it?
Was it Nyron Calley?
A young software engineer.
Was it Kurt Redden?
A young marketing executive.
Was it Lucas Perry?
A young stock exchange executive.

This mystery is filled with twists and turns and what starts out as something very innocent looking turns into a nightmare with a full confession at the end. Author Donna Jodhan has outdone herself here giving meaning to the true meaning of mystery at its finest.

You can purchase this audio mystery for the very affordable price of $2.49 U.S. Each of my audio mysteries costs $2.49 U.S and you can purchase an entire season of 13 mysteries for the very low price of $24.99 U.S.

Section: Author Donna Jodhan's Picks of the Month:

Some info on catgut:
Despite the name, catgut was never made out of our feline friends. It was originally made out of sheep or horse intestines.

About Moths:
Moths are falsely blamed for eating clothing. It's actually their larvae that cause the fabric damage.

Some trivia about parrots:
Like most other birds, parrots have four toes per foot. But instead of the usual three-in-front-one-behind arrangement, parrot toes are configured for maximum grip: two in front and two behind, like two pairs of opposable thumbs.
Many parrots are omnivores and will eat pretty much anything - fruit, seeds, nuts, insects and even meat. Some species, like the rainbow-colored lories and lorikeets of the South Pacific, feed almost exclusively on nectar with brush-tipped tongues, though recently even these birds were seen eating meat at feeding stations in Australia.
With a couple of notable exceptions, males and females of most parrot species look virtually identical. It takes a keen eye - and usually a lab test - to tell a boy bird from a girl bird.
Though parrots do have some taste glands at the backs of their throats, most of their 300 or so taste buds are located on the roofs of their mouths.

How far away should you stand from downed hydro wires?
About 10 meters; the length of a school bus.

Okay, and this tip may be in time for winter 2017 as winter is almost over:
How can you tell if ice is a bit too thin to walk on?
If it is grey in color.
Remember now, when you go outdoor ice skating or ice fishing, make sure that there are no grey ice patches in your immediate vicinity.
Thin ice is not always in the same spot.

Some of the worse stains to get rid of?
Coffee, cherry, wine!

About mushrooms:
They are loaded with vitamin D.

About chocolate:
It is loaded with zinc.

Some tips on etiquette:
If you take a dish with you to a party, it is never a good idea to bring back what you have carried. Sure, you can bring back the empty dish itself but not the left over contents of the dish.
Never a good idea to let your host know that you did not like what they cooked for you.
If you wish to wake up late in the morning, then best to let your host know so that you do not keep them waiting to make breakfast for you.
