  1. Alter Ego (iOS, US$4.99)
What if you could live your life over again?
In this text-based interactive fiction, you choose what happens next. It's in the style of pick-a-path gamebooks, but with over a thousand multiple-choice questions, it's much longer and deeper than traditional gamebooks. Alter Ego starts at birth and ends at death, including two substantially different versions, depending on whether you choose to be male or female.
Will you grow up to be confident and happy? Will you fight with bullies, or befriend them? Will you find a date to the senior prom? Will you marry and have kids, or start your own business and become a millionaire? The choice is yours.
This game will change your life.

Section: Mystery of the month:

This month, I'd like to whet your appetite with a brief description of one of my episodes of my audio mysteries that I have chosen for you.

This one is called "Six Candles for Summer" and here is a brief description.

Little Summer Kirsten Stinsen has been kidnapped on her birthday. No one saw when the child was snatched but everyone is blaming each other. Her nanny is also missing but everyone refuses to believe that the nanny could have done the crime. Neighbors are stunned! Why would anyone want to kidnap Little Summer? For ransom?

Who could have done it?

Was it Brandon Stinsen? He wanted custody of Summer despite knowing that she was not biologically his.

Was it Kirsten Stinsen? She too wanted custody of her only child.

Was it Justin Langden? He wanted custody of his biological child.

This mystery is filled with intrigue, suspense, and every day drama. The plot keeps you hanging and at the end you would be surprised to learn who has been behind this sinister plot from the start.

This is a must listen.

You can purchase this audio mystery for the very affordable price of $2.49 U.S. Each of my audio mysteries costs $2.49 U.S and you can purchase an entire season of 13 mysteries for the very low price of $24.99 U.S.

Section: Author Donna Jodhan's Picks of the Month:

Okay, here's one for the books so to speak! We are now being told that the more you stand the more callories you can burn? They suggest that if you have a job where you need to sit a lot that you take breaks every half hour. Stand, walk around, and then return to your chair.

Before you go to sleep: Do not eat anything heavy or this would hinder a good night's sleep. Nor should you eat anything spicy.

About coconut oil! You can use this oil to flush out wax from your ears. Insert a drop or 2 into your ear. Wait for a few minutes and then flush out with warm water. Presto! The wax and other stuff will simply come tumbling out of your ear!

Some very important tips on how to handle meat: When you are finished testing your meat in the oven with your thermometer, wash the point thoroughly before using the next time. Not a good idea to thaw meat at room temperature. Thaw in fridge or in microwave. Finally, do not placed cooked meat on the same area where you originally had uncooked meat. That is, on the same plate or in the same dish.

Right then, which vegetable is used to make pickles? Why then, it is the good old cucumber!

Some interesting tips about coughs. If you find yourself with a deep cough that often afflicts you at night time, it could be due to a nasal drip. Yes, this nasal drip would filter down into your throat and cause you to cough like this at night. Now, if you have a dry hacking cough, it could be due to acid reflux; indigestion is with you.

Okay, here it is; all about how you measure your portions of food. For carbs; no more than two fistfulls. For vegetables; no more than two hands full. For protein; no bigger than the palm of your hand and no thicker than a deck of cards.

Now, here is some very interesting trivia for you! How many gallons of saliva do you produce on average per year? Yes, about 99 gallons. And how much urine do you pass on average per year? About 135 gallons.

Some very interesting tips on uses for soda: First, you can use soda to clean your pots and pans. Fill your pot or pan with a cup of soda. Next bring to a boil. Wait for the soda to cool and then take a sponge and rub very lightly. Presto! All of those burned spots are now gone! Second, you can use soda to keep your flowers fresh. Fill your vase with three parts of water and one part of soda. Place flowers in your vase and presto! Your flowers can now remain fresh for days longer and their fragrant scent will also linger longer. Third, you can use soda to remove stains from your clothes; mud stains, blood stains, coffee stains. Pour a few drops of soda onto the offending stain. Next take a toothbrush and rub the soda gently into the stain. Leave for a few minutes and then wash garment in your washer. You would be amazed to see the results!
