Donna attends session hosted by the Council of Federal Accessibility Agencies

On May 27th, Donna attended a Zoom session hosted by the Council of Federal Accessibility Agencies, which was chaired by the Canadian Human Rights Commission. Also in attendance were reps from various organizations for Canadians with disabilities.

The Council of Federal Accessibility Agencies was established to facilitate alignment among the bodies responsible for implementing and enforcing the Accessible Canada Act. The Act requires the member organizations of the Council to work collaboratively, in what we call the "no wrong door" principle, to refer accessibility complaints within federal jurisdiction to the right organization and to foster complementary policies and practices. During this meeting, we will provide an update on important work being done to advance the "no wrong door" approach as well as what can be expected in the future.
