Balancing the benefits

Too often we are called upon to balance the benefits when a decision needs to be made and it does not matter what type of decision it is; big, small, or somewhere in between.

It almost always comes down to balancing the benefits.  For example:

The benefits of going versus staying.

The benefits of stepping down versus continuing on.

The benefits of merging versus not merging.

The benefits of moving versus staying put.

The benefits of collaborating versus maintaining the status quo.

These benefits could be personal.  They could be for others versus you the person.  They could be for the family versus the individual.  They could be almost anything.

Just my two cents worth for today.
